Here are what the old cabinets looked like, gold nasty handle and all!
Here are the cabinets from my kitchen! They are off white and have dark brown hardware. If you could see them in person against the red walls I think you would be more impressed.
And these are the same color cabinets, just different colored hardware. You get the picture.

That looks great. We have the exact same cabinets, hardware and all. They didn't last long in my house either. I like the white and dark hardware. It took me so long do paint and glaze all of mine.
